Since 2006, Ink Scribe Design  has specialized in creating effective and cost-effective print and web communications solutions. From custom web sites to annual reports to corporate newsletters, Ink Scribe Design is focused on quality – both in the quality of craftsmanship that goes into the design process as well as quality of relationships developed with satisfied clients.

Experience Matters

With experience as a technical writer, newspaper reporter, office manager and presentation developer, owner Julie Brown brings a wide variety of previous work experiences to each project which enrich the quality of the design process. She has a proven ability to think with “beginners’ mind” to help improve clarity of content and is dedicated to understanding each client’s individual requirements.

Serving clients throughout eastern North Carolina, Ink Scribe collaborates with a variety of businesses including several non-profit agencies, a medical office, a niche newspaper, and area churches.

Print & Web Communications

Through the years, Julie has designed include annual reports, newspapers, brochures, newsletters, curriculum, and publicity posters. In addition, design experience includes logo creation, custom business forms, newspaper and yellow pages advertisements, business cards and letterhead. Julie oversees varying aspects of each project – layout design, content editing, writing/research, custom graphics creation, photography, copyright permission requests, and coordination with printer/mailer.

Ink Scribe Design creates and maintains web sites for a number of clients. To help keep development costs at reasonable levels and to empower clients with the tools to handle their own updates, many of the sites are created within the WordPress publishing platform, an open source solution. Julie provides training for staff and volunteers and helps with ongoing questions and troubleshooting.
